Updated grounding line mapping in the Amundsen Sea Embayment, Antarctica, from 1-day repeat Sentinel-1 SAR data
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains data described in the article: Brief communication: Updated grounding line mapping in the Amundsen Sea Embayment, Antarctica, from 1-day repeat Sentinel-1 SAR data by Jonas K. Andersen, Romain Millan, Eric Rignot, Lucille Gimenes, Bernd Scheuchl, Jean Baptiste Barré, and Anders, A. Bjørk (Submitted to The Cryosphere, September 11th 2025). The dataset provides an updated delineation of glacier grounding lines in the Amundsen Sea Embayment (ASE), West Antarctica, based on double-difference SAR interferometry from 2025 Sentinel-1 1-day repeat-pass acquisitions. The 1-day repeat acquisitions were collected during the Sentinel-1C in-orbit commissioning phase in January-March 2025. The delineation spans the region between the Abbot and Getz ice shelves and includes the grounding zones of Pine Island, Thwaites, Pope, Smith, Kohler, and other outlet glaciers. A total of 11 double-difference interferograms were generated, and a delineation was generated for all regions with moderate/high coherence in each interferogram. The dataset also contains estimated Sea Surface Height difference and maximum for each double-difference product (see Text S1 in the associated article). The dataset includes: Grounding Line Vector File (S1_1day_GL_2025_ASE.gpkg)A polyline shapefile delineating the 2025 grounding lines, derived using double-difference SAR interferometry. The grounding line is delineated at the inland limit of the vertical displacements induced by tidal flexure and has been manually interpreted from each available 1-day Sentinel-1 double-difference interferogram. Format: GeoPackage (.gpkg) CRS: EPSG:3031 – WGS 84 / Antarctic Polar Stereographic Acquisition dates: January 17th - March 7th 2025 Metadata fields: Product ID, satellite track, double-difference interferogram acquisition times (t1-t4), Sea Surface Height estimates (relative difference, SSH_difference, and maximum, SSH_max) Coverage: Amundsen Sea Embayment Geocoded Interferograms (TXXX.zip)A set of Sentinel-1 geocoded double-difference interferograms used to delineate the grounding line. The interferograms are provided in GeoTIFF format. Each double-difference product corresponds to the phase difference between a pair of 1-day interferograms (with acquisition dates contained in the respective filename). Interferograms were obtained from 4 different orbit/tracks and are stored in separate folders (with naming convention 'TXXX'). Relevant metadata (acquisition timestamps, SSH estimates) are contained in the GeoPackage. Format: GeoTIFF (Float32) Naming convention: date1_date2_date3_date4.tif Resolution: 50 x 50 m Units: Radians CRS: EPSG:3031 – WGS 84 / Antarctic Polar Stereographic
