Limit of intervention of the Iroise Marine Natural Park Decree No 2007-1406 of 28 September 2007 establishing the Iroise Marine Natural Park Since 1 January 2020, marine natural parks depend on the French Biodiversity Office (OFB) The Iroise Marine Natural Park covers 3 550 km² of submerged areas between the parallel 48° 31′N (north of the island of Ouessant) and the parallel 47° 59′N (south of the island of Sein), the coastline to the east with the exception of Brest Bay and the boundary of territorial waters (12 nautical miles) to the west. Coastal and terrestrial areas are therefore not covered by the park, but part of them are part of the Regional Natural Park of Armorique. The communes of Cap Sizun in the south did not wish to integrate this area.
