VPRS 5158 Register of Papers Laid on the Table

This series is a register of papers tabled in the Legislative Council. Papers are registered with a single number. The numbering sequence recommences at the start of each new session of Parliament. The numbering system stops in June 1914. For each paper tabled, the following information was recorded: the paper's number, short title, date when laid on table. If the paper was ordered to be printed, other information was recorded, such as the date it was ordered to be printed, when it was distributed, the number of copies received from the Government Printer, etc.Often, a printed list of papers tabled in the Council was pasted into this series, rather than manually recording the information.Units 1 and 2 of the P1 Consignment were previously serialised as VPRS 5165/P units 1 and 2. They were reserialised in 1999.
