Protaetia brevitarsis Genome sequencing and assembly

The Protaetia brevitarsis, commonly known as white-spotted flower chafer, is an important Scarabaeidae insects that distributed in most Asian countries. Recently, the insect's harmfulness on crops, usefulness on agricultural wastes utilization, edibleness, medicinal value and usability on the insect immunology research provide enough impetus for detailed study of the biology. Here, we sequenced the whole genome to improve the understanding and research of P. brevitarsis.
