A dataset of global Klebsiella pneumoniae complete plasmid sequence public available.

The genome sequences of Klebsiella pneumoniae were obtained from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) Assembly database, and comprehensive metadata were extracted from the NCBI BioSample database. All available genome sequences of K. pneumoniae in the NCBI Assembly database, along with their associated isolation details—including geographical regions, time periods, and host sources—were retrieved up to December 31, 2023. A total of 2,136 complete genome sequences of K. pneumoniae harboring plasmids were identified, encompassing 7,232 plasmid sequences and their descriptive data. The isolation years of these plasmids spanned from 1976 to 2023, and they were collected from 56 countries across six continents. The plasmids were isolated from diverse hosts, including humans, animals, and environmental sources.
