This study explored the diversity and distribution of protistan and bacterial communities within an abnormal anticyclonic eddy in the South China Sea, characterized by its distinct lens-shaped structure. This study provide new insights into the complex and stratified impacts of abnormal anticyclonic eddies on marine microbial ecology, contributing to a broader understanding of ecological dynamics in oceanic eddy systems.
