Behavioral and EEG datasets from a sequence learning task (2025)

We recorded 128-channel EEG signals from 73 participants while they performed a modified serial reaction time task. Participants were presented with sequences of images and categorized each image as a face, tool, or animal using a three-choice button press. Each sequence (trial) comprised three consecutive images. In regular trials, stimuli followed a fixed category-order (face → tool → animal), whereas in random trials, the order was randomized to prevent overlap with the fixed pattern (see Methods).
