Building material volume transported on national waterway-1 in India FY 2014-2020

During the financial year of 2020, over 4.65 million metric tons of building material was carried over national waterways-1. There was a continuous increase in this volume during the observed time period. Building material formed around 51 percent of the total cargo movement on this route. National waterway-1 comprised 1,620 kilometers of navigable waterway.
