Dataset of Six Congenital Disorders Detected Through Newborn Screening in Northwest Mexico (2012–2023)

This dataset contains information on 3,458 newborns identified as suspected cases through the neonatal screening program at Hospital de la Mujer in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2023. It includes both demographic and clinical data related to mothers and newborns.
Maternal information comprises age, number of births, geographic location, and gestational age.
Newborn data includes date of birth, sex, birth weight, and birth length.
Newborn screening information covers the date of blood sample collection, suspected congenital disorders, and confirmatory test results for the six conditions screened.
Congenital Disorders: congenital hypothyroidism (CH), congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), galactosemia (GALA), phenylketonuria (PKU), cystic fibrosis (CF), and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (G6PDd).
