Dataset for the walking environments in station catchment areas in the USA and UAE

The full data set was collected from representative segments of street networks around 86 station catchment areas in four urban rail systems in US cities - Dallas, Washington DC, Phoenix, and Atlanta - and Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.Over 12,000 segments within 800 metres radius of each sampled rail station were classified based on a set of street pattern typologies using ArcGIS (version 10.7). Of these, 914 segments were sampled and then audited and scored using detailed maps and manual visual inspection techniques using Google Street View as the primary data source.The data includes the detailed analysis for the sampling street segments, and street network connectivity (S- Conn) and street network quality (S-Qual) indices around rail station catchment areas in all five case study cities as a Microsoft Word file, which all can be freely accessed via the Science Data Bank.
