VPRS 895 Register of Inwards Correspondence (Inspector-General)

This series consists of the Register of Inwards Correspondence of the Inspector-General. This officer was not a member of the Board of Education, but some of the correspondence may have survived in VPRS 903 Inwards Registered Correspondence if a memo was appended and the original letter returned to the Board.The details given are the date of receipt, the registered number (letters forwarded by the Board of Education are given a new single number while the annual single number assigned in VPRS 893 Classified Subject Index to Inward Registered Correspondence is also given), the writer's name and address, the date and subject of the letter and memoranda noting any action taken including the outwards registered number of any correspondence in reply or the agenda numbers for Board Meetings as given in VPRS 894 Minute Books and VPRS 899 Agenda Books.
