Number of tropical cyclones in Puerto Rico 2004-2022

In 2022, hurricane Fiona made landfall in Puerto Rico, the fifth tropical cyclone to hit the territory in the past decade. It struck the Caribbean island as a Category 3 storm in September 2022. Since 2004, only hurricane Maria has been stronger than Fiona, hitting Puerto Rican coasts in September 2017, as a Category 5 storm.
