We investigated the effects of novel SIRT1 activating plant-derived compounds strigolactone GR24 and pinosylvin on gene expression in rat L6 skeletal muscle myotubes. Resveratrol was included in analyses as a reference compound. Myotubes were treated with 60 micromolar test compounds in DMSO or equivalent concentration of DMSO (control) for 24 h. Three independent experiments were performed from the same batch of cells.
