This dataset contains data related to Home-Work Commuting Plan of Area Science Park. Area Science Park is a national research organization, supervised by MUR, which has as its mission the development of the economic system of companies based on innovation and technological research, implemented through the enhancement of research results, their transfer to the market and support for the creation of new innovative companies. The institution was born over 40 years ago with the aim of creating and managing a science and technology park that today is spread over two campuses for over 70,000 square meters and hosts 57 companies and 8 research centers. The Home-Work Commuting Plan (PSCL:Piano Spostamenti Casa Lavoro in Italian), represents for the organization the opportunity to observe and manage an important phenomenon that affects both traffic congestion in Trieste and the quality of life of all those that which operates in the Science Park. The main objective of the Area Science Park PSCL is to describe the situation and the initiatives launched and planned for the structural and permanent reduction of the environmental impact resulting from systematic home-work mobility. The measures envisaged in the plan concern all the five axes of action suggested by the guidelines and aim at the promotion of agile work, the study of feasibility studies for initiatives in favor of public transport, carpooling, cycle mobility, as well as favoring the use of electric vehicles.
