SASEA Electricity Demand Data for 2013-2025

This dataset provides harmonised electricity demand records for twelve South and Southeast Asian (SASEA) countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Thailand. The data cover the period 2013–2025, with availability varying by country.

Raw demand data were collected from national utilities, regulators, and international agencies using online portals, automated retrieval scripts, and direct file downloads. All records were standardised to:

Time format: ISO 8601 (daily or higher resolution)

Country codes: ISO 3166-1

Processing steps included completeness checks, outlier detection, and adjustments for calendar and time-zone differences. Metadata and processing scripts are provided alongside the dataset to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
