Reconstructing Ocean Surface Current Combining Altimetry and Future Spaceborne Doppler Data study : data repository

This folder contains all the data used to realize the following study:<br> "Reconstructing Ocean Surface Current Combining Altimetry and Future Spaceborne Doppler Data" [Paper #2020JC016560RR] The directory 'Synthetic_observations' contains all input data from the Altimetry simulator and from the Skimulator, organized as netcdf4 files (1 file par satellite pass). The directory 'Mapped_fields' contains the gridded reconstructed currents. The 3 main experiments are provided, the file 'WW3_NATL60_8b60az_L2D.nc' contains the 'basic current mapping' reconstructions, the file 'gf60_diags04_analysis.nc' contains the 'improved current mapping' with Skimulator data only and the file 'gf60_diags10_analysis.nc' contains the 'improved current mapping' with both Altimetry and Skimulator data.
