The MDA-MB-231 cell line is a widely used model of triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive subtype of breast cancer with limited therapeutic options. Recombinant human PTX3 (rhPTX3) is a protein involved in inflammation and cancer-related processes, and its effects on cancer cells are not fully understood. Our group used high-throughput sequencing technologies and bioinformatics tools to analyze the expression profile of small RNAs in MDA-MB-231 cells treated and untreated with rhPTX3.
