资源简介:
This data release is associated with the publication "The Quasar Feedback Survey: Revealing the importance of sensitive radio imaging deeper into the radio quiet regime", published in Njeri et al. (2025), MNRAS, under review. This work presents 1.4GHz and 6 GHz radio imaging, obtained from the Very Large Array for the 29 quasars from the extended sample, to lower luminosities (QFeedS-2), of the Quasar Feedback Survey (first presented in Jarvis et al. 2021, MNRAS, 503, 1780 https://doi.org/10.1093/mnras/stab549 ). These targets are z~0.1 quasar host galaxies, selected to be luminous in [O III] emission (L[O III] &gt; 1042.1 erg/s). For full details of the survey description and sample selection see Njeri et al. (2025). The raw VLA data were obtained under proposal ID 23A-214.This data release contains the spectral index maps obtained from the C-band (over 5.25 to 7.20 GHz) produced from the Very Large Array (VLA), using A-array configuration, for each of the 29 sources. In each zip file (one per target), there is:a folder called sc.TARGETNAME_EVLA_C_final.alpha, which is the tabulated version of the spectral index maps, which can be opened in e.g., casa imview()a file called sc.TARGETNAME_EVLA_C_final.alpha.fits, which is a fits image version of the abovea folder caled sc.TARGETNAME_EVLA_C_final.alpha.error which is the tabulated version of the spectral index error maps, which can be opened in e.g., casa imview()a file called sc.TARGETNAME_EVLA_C_final.alpha.error.fits, which is a fits image version of the abovea folder called sc.TARGETNAME_EVLA_C_final.image.tt0, which is a tabulated version of a C-band image, produced during the process of making the spectral index maps, this can be opened in e.g., casa imview().We used the VLA Calibration Pipeline 2024.1.0.8 for casa version 6.6.1 to reduce our data. We applied the two Taylor terms to model the frequency dependence of the sky emission and generated the in-band spectral indices maps. All normal metadata, associated with astronomical images (observation details, source details, process of imaging), is included with the files.<br>
