Utilizing System Biology to Reveal Cellular Responses to Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma Ligand Exposure

HepG2 cells were exposed to either vehicle (0.1% DMSO) or maximum tolerated concentrations of ciglitazone or GW 9662 for up to 24 h, and then harvested for 1) chromatin immunoprecipitation-sequencing (ChIP-seq) to identify PPARgamma-bound regions across the entire genome or 2) mRNA-sequencing (mRNA-seq) to identify potential impacts on the transcriptome.
