Pediatric Pulmonary Embolism, Diagnosed

This concept set was developed as part of a computational phenotype for identifying pediatric pulmonary embolism for the CENTIPEDE study. The concept set was developed from decedents of a list of SNOMED diagnosis codes provided by the study team. The study team reviewed and refined the set according to the needs of the study. The intention of this concept set was to be used in combination with other facts to create a computational phenotype for pulmonary embolism. That phenotype was validated using chart review. This diagnosis concept set was consequently validated to compare the algorithm's performance as opposed to the diagnosis concept set alone. Both algorithm and concept set were validated using data solely from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
