Drosophila GCN5 activity profoundly impacts gene expression. We conducted poly-A selected RNA-Seq experiments and explored the dynamics of gene expression during aging process (using heads and muscles of WT (5905) Drosophila at age of 3d, 15d, 30d, and 45d); We further conducted poly-A selected RNA-Seq experiments and explored the role of GCN5 on gene expression (using whole flies of WT (5905), gcn5 loss-of-function, and GCN5 overexpression Drosophila at age of 3d).
