The aim of current research is to determine and characterize the concentration level of heavy metals in the leaves, roots and seeds of medicinal plant Moringa stenopetala. The samples of roots ,seeds and leaves were collected from different sites of Wolaita Zone depending on the bioavailability of the plant. wet digestion method is used to optimize the working sample. The AAS determination method was used to characterize the concentration level of heavy metals. The data was analyzed by using one way Anova to find correlations and recovery test. The findings show that all the determined metals were within the WHO limit.

本研究旨在确定并描述药用植物摩罗僧(Moringa stenopetala)叶片、根部和种子中重金属的浓度水平。根据植物的生物有效性,从沃莱塔区的不同地点收集了根部、种子和叶片的样本。采用湿法消解法优化工作样本。运用原子吸收光谱法(AAS)测定重金属的浓度水平。数据通过单因素方差分析(One-way Anova)进行统计分析,以寻找相关性并进行回收率测试。研究结果揭示,所有测定的金属元素均未超过世界卫生组织(WHO)规定的限值。
