Non coding RNA-seq analysis of systemic lupus erythematosus with or without nephritis

The goal of this study is to compare the plasma or plasma exosomal miRNA profiles of systemic lupus erythematosus patients with or without urinary albumin excretion and control subjects. This novel study demonstrated a biofluid specificity of miRNA profiles associated with SLE with or without nephritis, with special emphasis in exosome-enriched fraction, which identifies several potential targets may be utilized to study mechanisms associated to lupus activity changes and renal damage.
