Lake-water pCO₂ dataset for alpine lakes on the Inner Tibetan Plateau

This dataset contains lake-water CO₂ partial pressure (pCO₂) observations compiled for alpine lakes on the Inner Tibetan Plateau (ITP), covering the period from 2009 to 2023. The dataset comprises 133 observations from published literature and field measurements conducted in this study. The field measurements include observations collected during the ice-thaw period in April 2021 and the ice-free period in August 2023. The dataset includes the observation time, lake name, data source, geographic coordinates, elevation, lake area, and lake-water pCO₂. The compiled observations provide a basis for examining the spatial and temporal variability of lake-water CO₂ concentrations and assessing CO₂ fluxes under different lake-ice states.
