Data for: Simulated pulses of senescent plant matter structure brown food web pathways in an arid ecosystem
收藏资源简介:
The data describes a litter addition experiment in an arid ecosystem in Australia (31°05’S 141°42'E) to describe brown food web dynamics in response to a pulse of dead vegetation. The data contains termite abundances, insectivore abundances and insectivore diets during 4 sampling periods between October 2020 and October 2021 in response to litter addition treatments and herbivore exclusion treatments. Description of the data and file structure The data consists of two datasets each with different column types: - "data_topublish_diet.csv" = diet data with each row representing an insectivore individual. Columns: grid: plot individual was captured (A to I) month: month-year of capture terinchay: number of haybales with termites terabunhay: number of termites under haybales treatment: haybale accessibility treatment dietter: presence/absence of termites in the diet dietant: presence/absence of ants in the diet - "data_topublish_grid.csv" = termite occupancy and abundance in addition to insectivore abundance through time with each row representing a different plot at a different sampling period. Columns: grid: plot (A to I) month: month-year of sampling treatment: haybale accessibility treatment terinchay: number of haybales with termites terincopen: number of open diggings with termites terabunhay: number of termites under haybales terabunopen: number of termites in open diggings dunnartspertrapnight: number of dunnarts (i.e. insectivores) caught per trap night hayremain: visual assessment of amount of hay remaining (%) Code/Software The accompanying code to plot the figures and run the analysis is compatible with R and RStudio and is named "clean_analysis_final.Rmd".
