Whether distance to tube can be estimated basen on signal. --- ## Equipment and Setup - **Needle size:** 22G - **Needle tip:** Quincke - **Used sensor:** M.4.4.0.22G - **Punctured material:** Candle gel **Phantom setup:** A fully filled tube embedded inside a candle gel box. We needed needle tip distances relative to the tube, not the surface of the material, in order to compare the distance for level measurements. For this purpose, a candle gel box with an embedded tube was built. ![alt text](image.png) --- ## Experimental Setup - Tube size: **10 × 8 mm** - Pump speed: **22 rpm** - Measurements performed at **room temperature** ### Distances - Vertical distance from **tube center to bottom of box:** **3.5 cm** - Distance from **tube center to top surface:** **6.3 cm** - Candle gel surface begins at a **radial distance of 6.3 cm** from the tube center. --- # Measurement Points All measurement points are defined **relative to the tube center**. - **P2** is the outermost point (needle tip **5 mm inside the gel**). - Located **5.8 cm from the tube center**. - Each subsequent point moves **toward the tube center** with **5 mm (0.5 cm) spacing**.
