To investigate the effects of soybean and maize strip intercropping and reduced nitrogen application on the bacterial communities within soybean root nodules and to screen for endophytic strains with growth promoting potential.This study will clarify how strip intercropping and reduced nitrogen input reshape the soybean nodule endobacterial community, providing the theoretical basis for developing specialized inoculants tailored to intercropped soybeans and for enhancing the productivity of relay cropping systems.
