Surfaces - Asphalt 2024

This layer includes any surface that contains black asphalt, such as asphalted roofs, roads, driveways, car parks, and asphalt athletic courts. It excludes surfaces that do not contain asphalt, including concrete, muddy, and rocky surfaces. Note that while there is a high correlation with roads, not all asphalt surfaces are roads — some basketball courts, for example, are asphalt but not roadways — and conversely, some roads have concrete or dirt sections.
