Time series analysis of COVID-19’s impact on the European’s hospitality industry: estimates based on accommodation statistics from 18 countries

 Prophet was shown to be a competitive algorithm for bulk forecasting of tourism statistics  Baseline forecasts of nights spent at accommodation establishments were obtained  Losses for each country and hospitality segment were estimated and meta-analyzed  The most impacted group of countries is Italy, Belgium, Slovenia, Spain, and Croatia,  The least impacted group of countries is Sweden, Latvia, and Finland.
