Interview of Gregory Thompson, Chief Deputy District Attorney of Los Angeles County, about the root causes of the civil disturbance, measures taken by the Los Angeles Police Department to prepare for a major civil disturbance, the nature of the violence, the adequacy of the Los Angeles Police Department's subsequent response, and the lessons learned from the incident, 1992 June 13. PART OF SERIES: After the violence had subsided, the Webster Commission met of a variety of public officials, law enforcement personnel, activists, and community leaders to discuss the rioting, its root causes, and the adequacy of the LAPD's response.
