Plant Survey of Dunes on Southern Hog Island, VA 2024

This data set contains the raw and normalized results of a vegetation survey conducted on dunes on southern Hog Island. We measured percent canopy cover and stem count using 0.25m² quadrats. These were deployed every 5m along 12 transects spanning dunes of three different age categories (~7, ~11, and >20 years old) and three types (primary, secondary, and tertiary dune ridges). This survey was conducted in conjunction with sediment cores, and a quadrat was deployed at each core location in addition to the regular intervals.
