The structures of microbial communities among five distinct freshwater ecological habitats were investigated in winter from 14 periphytic biofilms samples and 14 plankton samples using 16S rRNA and 18S rRNA gene sequencing in Changzhou.The goals aimed to illustratie (1) explore the prokaryotic and eukaryotic community structure of periphytic biofilms among different ecological habitats; (2) illustrate potential environmental stressors that influencing the microbial communities; (3) interpret interconnections between prokaryotes and eukaryotes in periphytic biofilms.
