La concezione istituzionale fra filosofia e teoria generale: Georges Renard e Maurice Hauriou

This article proposes a comparison between the institutional conception in Maurice Hauriou�s and Georges Renard�s thought, whose doctrinal positions are placed in different fields. Really, Hauriou proposed his theory on the sociological field, but it then was successful in the legal science; just in this context his thought had its complete development, particularly in his essay La th�orie de l�institution et de la fondation (1925), in which the �anatomy� and the �physiology� of the concept of institution are analysed. But it is mostly in Renard�s thought that this concept signifies the development of St. Thomas� �social reflections�. Indeed he starts from the consideration that the common good is the continuation of the individual good and arrives to the theorization of institution as a subject of law, of which aim is to promote the rights and the moral improving of the men in it being.
