Transcriptome analysis of insulin resistant Immortalized human hepatocytes

Insulin resistance and subsequent development of Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) in lean subjects raises a question in the underlying theory of Adipose tissue mediated inflammation. Here using global gene expression analysis by RNA-Seq of insulin resistant cultured IHH cells, which are made insulin resistant using high glucose and high insulin, we hypothesize that the pathogenesis of NAFLD and subsequent NASH is endogenous. The present bio-project submission contains sequence reads of the above mentioned transcriptome analysis.
