Database of Electromyography and Digit Force during Precision Grasping of Objects at Different Weights

In this study, the Electromyography signals and the variation of the force are recorded for an object pick and place task. The data acquisition is performed for 3 different prismatic precision grasping gestures, where the weight of the object varied from 200 grams to 700 grams. The data acquisition process and preliminary analysis steps are mentioned in this study. This dataset is collected from 15 healthy participants, with around 50 trials for each participant. This dataset can be used for the development and validation of machine learning algorithms to apply in prosthetics and orthosis.
