Qualitative Data Supporting the Identification of Barriers and Facilitators to MFM-Play App Adoption in Clinical Practice

The MFM-Play app was developed by DOWiNO Studio (Lyon, France) in collaboration with clinicians from the neuromuscular disease reference centre at the Hospices Civils de Lyon. The app standardizes administration guidelines for the 32 items of the Motor Function Measure (MFM) through age-appropriate, space-themed interactive scenarios. Scores are recorded directly on a tablet, and assessments can be exported in CSV format. This dataset contains anonymized transcripts of seven individual semi-structured interviews based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and one focus group with seven rehabilitation therapists. The data were collected to explore perceived barriers and facilitators related to the usability and adoption of the MFM-Play app in clinical practice, and to identify potential implementation levers.
