Ecoregions 1995 - 1M

1995 Ecoregions of Yukon part of the National Ecological Framework (NEF), which classifies and maps ecological areas to identify land units with similar biophysical properties at different scales. The NEF has a strong focus on physiography and landscape patterns but also considers climate and vegetation. Three levels of the NEF are used in Yukon from the most general to most detailed they are ecozones, ecoregions and ecodistrict. This dataset includes the ecozone and ecoregion levels of the classification hierarchy.
