ORL (Our Database of Faces)

The ORL Face Database consists of 400 images from 40 distinct subjects. For some of the subjects, images were captured at different times, with variations in lighting, facial expressions (eyes open/closed, smiling/not smiling), and facial details (with/without glasses). All images were taken against a dark, uniform background, with the subjects in an upright frontal pose (allowing minor side movements). Each image has a resolution of 92×112 pixels, and each pixel has 256 gray levels.
