Interglacial permafrost dynamics: CryoGridLite.jl climate forcing data based on AWI-ESM-2 climate model output

This record contains climate forcing time series used to run simulations with the CryoGridLite.jl permafrost model depositet at 10.5281/zenodo.14243849. The simulations are the basis for a research article perpared for publication in the journal Climate of the past.

The climate forcings are based on output of AWI-ESM-2 experiments which were run under different boundary conditions for the pre-industrial (PI), mid-Holocene (MH) and last interglacial (LIG). Each forcing timeseries contains 100 years of daily surface temperatures and snowfall rates.

In addition, a script create_forcing_shiftedMean_zenodo.py is provided which was used to create alternative climate forcings with shifted annual mean surface temperatures. 

Key model diagnostics, and plotting and analysis scripts of the simulations used for the research article  are deposited at 10.5281/zenodo.14243857.
