The HYCOM+NCODA Global 1/12° Analysis (glba0.08-90.x) real-time dataset is a global ocean reanalysis dataset driven by the global ocean model HYCOM 2.2. This system operates on a Mercator grid between 78°S and 47°N, with a 1/12° resolution at the equator. Bipolar patch techniques are applied for regions north of 47°N. The dataset contains 4500×3298 global grid points, with an average spacing of approximately 7 km and 32 vertical layers. Its surface forcing data is derived from the Naval Global Environmental Model (NAVGEM) version 1.3, including wind stress, wind speed, heat flux (calculated using bulk formulae), and precipitation. This dataset includes multiple experimental versions, each incorporating successive improvements.
