Governance Gaps and Cycle of Instability: Interview Data and Codebook from Four Districts of Northern Balochistan

This dataset contains interviews and a codebook gathered as part of a field research  on governance issues in the four districts of  Northern Balochistan, Pakistan. The research explores local narratives on governance gaps and the cycle of instability across four districts: Killa Saifullah, Quetta, Chaman (districts of Quetta division) and Dera Bugti district.

The individual interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs)  provide firsthand accounts from local residents, community leaders, and officials, shedding light on the factors contributing to the cycle of instability . The dataset aims to offer valuable insights into the governance failure, socio economic deprivation, ethnonationalism, violence and organized crime in  Balochistan.
