Plastic production in the U.S. 2023, by resin

In 2023, the United States produced 130 million pounds of resins. On a dry weight basis, Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) was the most produced resin that year, with an output of 25.7 billion pounds. High density polyethylene (HDPE) accounted for a similar production volume, at 24.4 billion pounds.
