NRS-12395 | Employees' history cards

This series contains the employee history cards from 1911-1968 and cover workers from all parts of the NSW Public Service during this time. The cards were produced by the Public Service Board and recorded staff from the Chief Secretary’s Departments, Treasury, Attorney-General’s, Lands, Public Works, Justice, Public Instruction, Mines and Agriculture, and the Office of the Public Service Board. (1)The cards contain the following information on the front card: serial number, employee name, department, date of birth, employment date, division, permanent/temporary, designation. On both front and reverse of card: File number, date, designation, salary, allec. [allowance], basic wage and remarks.The information on the cards slightly alter over time and may reference sections of the Public Service Act, 1902 (Act No.31, 1902) or entries in the Government Gazette for designations.Endnotes1.
