Raw historic equid tail hair isotope data

The data file contains raw stable isotope data (CNH) of historic (museum) tail hair samples of two sympatric equid species, namely the Przewalski´s horse and the Asiatic wild ass (khulan) from the Dzungarian Gobi (Mongolia, China). Data were originally used to draw inferences about multi-year diet seasonality and isotopic dietary niche characteristics of historic (pre-extinction) Przewalski´s horses and historic Asiatic wild asses, as well as for comparison with their extant conspecifics (previously published in Burnik Šturm et al, J. Appl. Ecol., doi:10.1111/1365-2664.12825; 2016).本数据集文件包含采自准噶尔戈壁（中蒙两国境内）的两种同域分布马科动物的历史馆藏尾毛样本的原始稳定同位素（CNH）数据，这两种物种分别为普氏野马（Przewalski's horse）与亚洲野驴（Asiatic wild ass, khulan）。该数据最初被用于推断灭绝前历史种群的普氏野马与亚洲野驴的多年饮食季节性及同位素饮食生态位特征，同时用于与其现存同物种种群进行对比（相关研究成果此前发表于Burnik Šturm等，《应用生态学杂志》，DOI:10.1111/1365-2664.12825；2016年）。
