Psychological Predecessors of AI
收藏资源简介:
A digital research apparatus for the psychological prehistory of artificial intelligence: the public-domain sources, 1749–1930, in which the mind became mechanism, measure, and law of learning. Four lines — the measured mind (Fechner, Ebbinghaus, Galton, Spearman, Binet), the learning animal (Hartley, Bain, Morgan, Loeb, Thorndike, Watson, Pavlov, Köhler), the automaton debate (Huxley, James, McDougall) and the machine in the laboratory (Hull) — in paragraph-exact citable editions, with a cross-corpus concordance, a concept atlas, a chronological timeline, plates from the cited digitisations, and an introductory essay. The corpus ends, deliberately, in 1930 — where the machines begin to learn. Sister apparatus to Calculemus: Philosophical Predecessors of AI (doi:10.5281/zenodo.22677079).
