The Distance Travelled

This research examines historical and contemporary precedents (in terms of both visual artists and poetic sources) leading to the identification and evaluation of creative practitioners whose work resonates with and informs my own. Theoretical concerns that have emerged from the critical research are discussed, before a consideration of how my practical methodology and use of processes and materials relate not only to my own artistic interests but also to these theoretical concerns and creative precedents is offered.
