Pan-STARRS (The Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System) is a wide-field astronomical imaging system developed and operated by the Institute for Astronomy, University of Hawaii. Pan-STARRS1 (PS1) is the first phase of the Pan-STARRS survey and the foundation of its first data release (DR1). The PS1 survey utilizes a 1.8-meter telescope equipped with a 1.4 Gigapixel camera (GPC1) to conduct photometric observations of the sky across five broad-band filters: g, r, i, z, y. From 2010 to 2015, PS1 performed approximately 370,000 exposure observations. These data are available from the Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes (MAST) at the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI).
