资源简介:
Xenopus laevis tadpoles possess ability to regenerate their whole tail tissues after tail amputation. Tail amputation triggers the regeneration processes, (1) proliferating cells appear at the tail stump to form a massive proliferating cell population called "regenerating bud", and then (2) tail outgrowth occurs; we focused to these two processes. To elucidate the proliferating cell induction which occurs at amputated stumps, the gene expression profiles within individual cells of tail stumps and regenerating buds provide clues to characterize the specific population in the regenerating bud and its source. We also aimed to reveal the difference between the developmental and regenerating outgrowth by comparing the gene expression profiles of developing tail tips and regenerating buds at single cell resolution.
