Wind Tunnel Single-Wake Dataset with Multi-Probe Flow Measurements and Turbine Loads
收藏资源简介:
Description This repository provides an open experimental dataset obtained from a controlled wind tunnel campaign focused on single-wake characterisation. The measurements were collected on a scaled wind turbine operating under prescribed inflow conditions and multiple wake control strategies (wake steering, curtailment, Pulse, individual pitch control). They are intended to support research on wake physics, model validation and control-oriented wind energy studies. The dataset is distributed as a NetCDF4 collection (containing ~200 files; each file corresponds to one experimental test condition) and is structured to keep wind tunnel reference measurements, flow measurements and turbine signals clearly separated while maintaining synchronisation across different acquisition rates. Experimental scope The dataset enables investigation of: wake development and recovery in controlled conditions validation of engineering wake models and reduced-order models benchmarking of high-fidelity simulations (e.g., LES / actuator-line approaches) turbine response and load dynamics under wake-control operating conditions system identification and control-oriented analysis Dataset structure (NetCDF hierarchy) Each NetCDF file includes: Root level Time (high-frequency time vector; 2.5 kHz) used for fast turbine signals. /WindTunnelData/ (reference inflow conditions) PitotVelocity – wind tunnel reference velocity TurntableAngle– imposed wind direction AirDensity – air density during the experiment /FlowData/ (multi-probe flow measurements) The dataset includes multiple probes (e.g., Probe1 … Probe26), each providing: ux, uy, uz – three-component velocity time series InitTime – probe measurement start time reference /Position/x, y, z (scalar) – probe location coordinates These signals can be used to characterise wake statistics and spatial gradients using fixed-point, multi-location measurements. /WTsData/WT1/ (turbine operational and loads data) Per turbine (WT1): RotorSpeed Azimuth Yaw, YawDem Subgroups: /Pitch/ – Blade1…Blade3 and Blade1Dem…Blade3Dem /Power/ – Meas and references RefAbs, RefRel /Hub/ – Yawing, Nodding, Torque /Tower/ – NS (north-south) and EW (east-west) Applications This dataset is intended for: single-wake characterisation using time-resolved probe measurements model validation (engineering wake models, ROMs, LES) control-oriented analysis and system identification load and response studies under wake-relevant operating conditions reproducible benchmarking and educational use File format All data are provided in NetCDF4 format to ensure: platform independence long-term accessibility compatibility with MATLAB and Python workflows License Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0)
