资源简介:
The .xlsx file contains the archaeobotanical records for non-cereal crops from Yorkshire dated to between 1000 BCE and 1000 CE. Each row is a presence-level record of a species-level identification. Each entry notes the preservation method (charred, mineralised, or waterlogged), the period (IRON, ROMAN, EARLY_MED; or an intermediary category), exact start, end, and median dates reported as BCE / CE, the functional category to which that crop has been assigned (e.g., pulses, oil / fiber crops, or vegetables), latitude and longitude information, and citational information (including full references, DOIs, and the analysts who performed the initial identifications). Data was collated via a systematic literature review of extant archaeobotanical reports, including (1) grey literature reports, (2) excavation monographs, and (3) peer-reviewed journals, and (4) through direct communication with regional excavators and archaeobotanical specialists. All records were converted to site-level ‘presence’ records by major phase to avoid over-representing well sampled deposits. See the associated manuscript for full details.
